Our Success & Recipient Charities
Our past tournaments were both a great success, and we were thrilled to be able to several deserving charities. For our 4th Annual Tournament, we will make contributions to the following organizations:
Young Life:
Since 1941, Young Life has been committed to making an impact on kid’s lives and preparing them for the future. Young Life leaders model trust, respect and responsibility to their young friends, and they do it within a meaningful context, within the context of a teenagers world. Young Life is active in all 50 states and more than 45 foreign countries…reaching approximately 120,000 students on a weekly basis.
The Firefighters Burn Institute:
Each summer dozens of severely burn-injured children between the ages of 7 and 17 years old are treated to a seven-day summer camp held at South Lake Tahoe. Camp is free to children recovering from burns. This camp gives kids with burn injuries the opportunity to spend time with other children who have survived the same tragic experience. The Firefighters Burn Institute was founded in 1973 by firefighters when the need for a local burn care facility became brutally evident after a plane crashed into a Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlor in Sacramento.
Soldiers' Angels:
Through special projects, dedicated teams and individuals supporting our troops, Soldiers' Angels makes a visible difference in the lives of our soldiers and their loved ones. 200,000 volunteer members in over 20 different teams and programs operate internationally to provide letters, care packages, and comfort items to the deployed, and support for their families here at home. Soldiers' Angels also provides assistance to the wounded, continuing support for veterans, remembrances and comfort for families of the fallen, and immediate response to unique difficulties.
